So you have decided that you want something other than a single color decal.  Good news, as there are thousands of patterns available for you to customize your decal.   Since all of these patterns can't be listed on one page the ordering process is a little different than ordering a single color decal.  Choose one of the following questions in yellow which best describes the decal you would like to change.

1.) I have found a FULL COLOR design I like but it is not the pattern I want.  How do I order?

If the design is already listed as a FULL COLOR decal but you want a different pattern then order using that form.  Even though you don't want that pattern this will still be the most simple way to order.

  1. The number one thing you do will be to pick the size.  This is the width measured left to right as shown in the image.
  2. Next you will need to choose the type of vinyl you want the decal to be printed on.  Be sure to understand what type of vinyl you need by going to the printed vinyl material page.  There is important information on that page so choose wisely (example: clear has VERY limited color options for ink).
  3. You may choose to the Reverse the design if desired.  Do NOT choose this option if the design has lettering or numbers within it as this is not available for prints (you would need a mirror to read them).
  4. This is the MOST IMPORTANT step when changing patterns on a design.  In the comments box state clearly (but in simple terms) how you want the decal to look.  You will need to first go to the printed decal colors page and pick out the pattern and/or color(s) you want used.  Simply state the COMPLETE pattern/color name in the comments box.  Most pattern examples have a header name (example: Aluminum Fiber) and then a color or pattern name (example:Charcoal).  So in this example here you would put in the comments box "change color to Charcoal Aluminum Fiber".   If an outline is desired then note that too and the color you want the outline.

Be sure to check your email within 24 hours after you place the order in case any questions do arise.

2.) I have found a PATTERN  I like but it is not shown on the design I want.  How do I order?

There are literally millions of color/pattern combinations you can make for each decal.  Following the directions below will make this as trouble fee as possible. When you order a printed decal the process is different than ordering a single color (or two color) die-cut decal.  Read CAREFULLY!

  • Go to the order form that shows the DESIGN you want (NOT the pattern).  This will probably be a black and white image.
  • The first thing you do will be to pick the size.  This is the width measured left to right as shown in the image.
  • Next you will need to choose the type of vinyl you want the decal to be printed on.  The choices are at the BOTTOM of the color list in the second pull-down menu.  You MUST choose CUSTOM FILL as your color choice if you want a printed pattern decal.  Be sure to understand what type of vinyl you need by going to the printed vinyl material page.  There is important information on that page so choose wisely (example: clear has VERY limited color options for ink).
  • You may choose to the Reverse the design if desired.  Do NOT choose this option if the design has lettering or numbers within it as this is not available for prints (you would need a mirror to read them).
  • You will need to skip the "Second Color Options" (steps 4 and 5 on the product page).  Skip these even if you do want an outline.  Choosing these options will just add cost to your decal that is not required.  So just leave both steps 4 and 5 "normal as shown".
  • This is the MOST IMPORTANT step in ordering a full color design.  In the comments box state clearly (but in simple terms) how you want the decal to look.  You will need to first go to the printed decal colors page and pick out the pattern and/or color(s) you want used.  Simply state the COMPLETE pattern/color name in the comments box.  If an outline is desired then note that too and the color you want the outline.  Several examples are listed below to show how you comments should be worded.

More Information About Our Decals / Stickers

More Information About Your Decal

Every Fast Decals product is custom-made in the size, color/material options you select. Here are a few helpful details about sizing, materials, backgrounds, and customization.

Custom-Made for Your Order

Every decal is made to order according to the size, color/material, and other options you select on the order form.

Commercial-Quality Materials

Our decals are made from commercial-quality vinyl designed to last for years in outdoor conditions. Exact outdoor life varies by material and application.

See our die-cut vinyl color chart or printed decal material chart for additional information.

Choose Your Size

Most designs can be made in nearly any size. Sizes are normally measured from left to right, and you can choose your desired width on the order form.

Some products, including certain stick-figure decals, custom lettering by height, etc, may use a different sizing method when noted.

Choose Your Color or Material

Single-color decals can be made in any available color shown on our vinyl color chart.

For full-color printed decals, you will normally select a material rather than a vinyl color. Printed colors may also be adjusted when the design allows.

Most Decals Have No Background

The white rectangle used to display the product image is usually not part of the decal. Most of our decals are cut around the shape of the design, allowing the color of the application surface to show through the open areas.

Some full-color designs intentionally include white areas, a printed background, or a contour around the design. Check the product image and description for details.

Adhesive and Installation

Our decals normally have adhesive on the back for installation on the outside of a clean, smooth surface. Front-adhesive decals for installation inside glass are also available for most designs.

Optional Shadows and Outlines

Many single-color transfer decals can be ordered with a shadow, outline, or contour in a second color.

Automatic Quantity Discounts

Available quantity discounts are calculated automatically as you order. When applicable, qualifying items do not need to have the same design. *Some coupons cannot be combined with other promotions.

Need a Change to This Design?

Is the design close to what you need, but not quite perfect? Use the Ask a Question option on this page to describe the change, or place your order and include the requested modification in the comments box.

We can often adjust lettering, colors, layout, or other design details. We will contact you before production if we need clarification.

Understanding the Different Decal Styles

The examples below show three common decal styles. The exact construction of your decal depends on the product and material options selected.

Comparison of die-cut transfer, full-color transfer, and contour-cut printed decal styles

Die-Cut Transfer Decal

Only the individual parts of the design remain after installation. There is no printed background, so the application surface shows through all open areas of the design.

The product image may show the design in black for clarity, but your finished decal will be made in the color you select.

Full-Color Transfer Decal

The artwork is printed in full color, but selected open areas can still be removed. The application surface will show through those cut-out portions.

Thin cut lines shown in the product artwork help indicate which interior areas will be removed.

Contour-Cut Printed Decal

The entire design is printed and cut around its outside shape. Depending on the artwork, the decal may include a white border, colored contour, or solid printed background.

A thin outline in the product image may be used to show the approximate outer cut line.
